Account Manager

We are currently looking for an account manager capable of bringing new projects to 81designs. If you have contacts in business, have the drive to find business, and know how to close the sale, we are looking for you. Compensation is commission based, which leads to strong earning potential. Position is for full or part time and will operate out of the Grand Forks area.

Gotta Have:

  • 2+ years sales experience
  • Stong knowlege of web and graphic technologies
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record, ability to travel as necessary or required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to handle the pressure and fluidity of a start-up environment

Bonus Points:

  • Hands on knowlege of xhtml, css, js, ajax
  • Graphic and web software, ie: photoshop, dreamweaver, eclipse
  • Prior management experience
  • Can rock a mean getup on corporate Fridays

Template Designer

We are seeking contract template designers to join our team. Design tasks will include designing skinnable css templates for use in our CMS packages.

Gotta Have:

  • Must have extensive web experience, including both web sites and banner ads
  • Must have a strong background in design and color theory
  • Must have a good working knowledge of XHTML and CSS

Bonus Points:

  • Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and ActionScript
  • Experience cutting up website designs into usable templates (using CSS)
  • Portfolio includes self-started personal projects

CSS Designer

Does #FloatTop {z-index:50; position:relative;} mean anything to you? If so we have the postion for you. We are looking for contract CSS designers to create css and xhtml documents out of client designs (ai,psd,etc). Work would be done through gimmecss.com.

Gotta Have:

  • Expert knowlege of cross browser compliance
  • Must have a excellence working knowledge of XHTML and CSS
  • Experience cutting up website designs into usable templates using CSS

Bonus Points:

  • Advanced knowledge of JavaScript DOM
  • Familiar with sIFR and/or AJAX frameworks (scriptalicious, mootools, spry, etc)
  • Working knowlege of CMS's, blogs, and shopping frameworks such as: Wordpress, Movable Type, Drupal, SimpleCMS, Blogger, Shopify, and OSCommerce
  • Portfolio includes self-started personal projects
